PhilippaTunstill and Susan Rentoul met through swimming atTooting Bec Lido about 15 years ago. Philippa’s paintings are an exploration of internal and external spaces taken from landscape and architecture through colour, surface and texture to produce intense visual dramas emerging out of a field of flat colour. Susan works rapidly, usually outside after a swim, to create landscapes in collage and paint. During the various lockdowns she concentrated on still lives of fruit and experimented with linoprinting.
