A variety of disciplines and creative concerns inform this collective. As a team, they all contribute to pass on their respective skills, knowledge and experience to the visual arts education of students at the local further education college.

Participating Artists:

Frances Roche Completed a fine art degree at Wimbledon College of Art and has exhibited locally and at galleries such as the Mall Galleries.

‘ I have always enjoyed the process of working with different materials. Working with a wide range of mediums has enable me to capture the raw natural beauty, texture, colour and light of the British landscape. Equally, I am also interested in the urban setting and other aspects of my work convey the inner city, deprivation and isolation. I am very interested in sharing my experience of what it is like to live in the city. Unlike my landscape paintings the 3D cityscape models I make are very dramatic and theatrical looking.’

Eddie Smith Studied Sculpture at the Royal Academy Schools after completing a degree at Winchester School of Art and has been commissioned to produce work for private collections and public spaces. Eddie continues to exhibit and is actively involved in the organizing and running of the annual Nunhead art Trail.

James Reynolds James has recently completed an MA (fine art) at Wimbledon College of Art and has also studied at Leeds Metropolitan University and Complutense University, Madrid. He has work in private collections both nationally and internationally.

‘My work is primarily figurative, though I have drawn inspiration from multiple aspects and this is characterized by an interest in many different creative processes. The work in this show is a representation of my work form the last 6 years and illustrates my shifting concerns from painting that is very landscape based to very recent portrait work that has dogmatic and rigid processes. Fundamental to all of my practice is drawing and that has always been the constant common thread.’
